FAQ: Cash-Pay Physical Therapy

Why are We a Cash Based PT Company?

The answer is simple: it allows us the ability to provide high quality 1:1 care without insurance restrictions or regulations limiting us on what services can be provided. We pride ourselves on high-quality manual therapy skills, dry needling, and corrective exercises and we don’t have to worry about being approved for our services.  It will also save you money.  Our flat rate for an evaluation and subsequent treatments can be significantly cheaper than the average insurance-based evaluation and treatment. With typical insurance-based evaluations ranging from $250-$400 and treatments $150-$300, costs can add up quickly.

Are We In Network with Insurance?

No.  We are not in network with any insurance companies as we are solely a Cash Based Practice.  That doesn’t mean you can’t receive reimbursement for your costs incurred seeing us.  Oftentimes insurance companies will reimburse a portion of the visit cost.  We can not guarantee any reimbursement percentage as it is based off of your individual insurance and their out-of-network policy.

Do We Only Accept Cash?

No.  We take Cash, Check, Credit Card, HSA and FSA accounts.  By not being in network with insurance companies we are able to keep our cash rates affordable and significantly below the cost of negotiated insurance rates.  We also offer discounts through our package plans that most of our clients utilize.  Our 20 session, 12 session, and 6 session packages are discounted at 15%, 12%, and 10% of the full session prices respectively.

Do I need a Prescription from a Doctor to come to Physical Therapy?

No you do not!  In Oklahoma we are a Direct Access state, meaning that you can begin Physical Therapy without a Physician Referral.  We can provide care for up to 30 days, and if further treatment is necessary after 30 days, we will obtain a signed Plan of Care from your physician. If we notice any Red Flags during your evaluation we will refer out to an appropriate medical provider at that time.  If you are looking to be reimbursed for the cost of your Physical Therapy, a prescription definitely strengthens your ability to receive a maximum reimbursement percentage by your insurance company.
